when we look past life all we see is death but death is only a new begining. the
road our bodys can not walk, but our souls must travel. life is just limbo.
death is not our final resting place, some maybe reborn or doomed to walk the
earth for ever. but you you have walked through my heart.

I will not know my history because he took u so quickly,I will not know my past
because he left me noone to ask. Some would say I were angry an selfish for
wishing a little more time but i ask what is the reasoning of taking your dear
life my heartaches for what I will never know but even more deeply because you
had to go. An while time may heal my wounds so deep time will never tell of what
u meant to me

it suddenly rained and my heart skiped a beat then there was thunder that left a
hole in my chest, only if i knew that was the time you bid me goodbye only if i
knew you never meant to cause any pain but you just wanted to say goodbye all
thought you didnt know your touch will leave a hole in my chest those tear drops
of pain went to meet with the rain causing a river of harmony and peace in my
heart,we all did love you once not without cause so what cause with hold us then
to morn for you o judgment thou art fell to earth and the love of god is the
only thing that could set us free in accepting his calling to set us free, you
told us stories that filled us with laughter and fear you lost but still
remained calm and said this is gods will and still you were the corner stone of
the family i speak not to

My 10 year old son requested to say a few a words at his Granny's memorial. He
found this poem to read, which was very apt and very touching. I thought I'd
share it with you on Funeral Guide.

"God looked around his garden and He
found an empty place.
And then He looked down upon the earth and saw your tired
face.
He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest.
God's garden must be
beautiful, He always takes the best.
He knew that you were suffering. He knew
you were in pain. He knew that you would never get well on earth again.
He saw
the road was getting rough, and the hills were hard to climb, so He closed your
weary eyelids, and whispered 'Peace be thine'.
It broke our hearts to lose you.
But you didn't go alone, for part of us went with you, the day God called you
home.

Poetry comes right from the depths of the writers soul. It touches others so
deeply in the same place. We all miss someone. I feel that poetry connects us
there and lifts us up. Thanks so much for sharing.
Molly Marcus  - You Must Always Remember   |76.109.142.xxx |2010-02-13

I know that you will miss him for a Father's love is dear
You must always
remember in your heart he is ever near.

He would not want for you to
cry, for you to be so sad
You must always remember his love that you
forever had.

That love he took with him to heaven as he visits with his
Lord
You must always remember his love for you has soared.

Plant this
flower my friend in his memory it will grow
You must always remember his
love through the petals to you will flow.

Jenna-Lee Walker  - Goodbye   |196.30.245.xxx |2009-09-07
Goodbye

You are our Father and Grandfather
you are a friend and a real
hero
through us you will live on

And all will know who you are
You are the
most loved father in the world

And as a Grandfather you ruled
you were there
in troubled times
to wipe away our tears
and kick away our fears!

But now
that time is over
and now you are at peace
and we will forever cherish our
memories with thee.

I hope we will see you later again
just to give you one
last hug
and to say how much we love you so,
but I am sure you already
know
that we think you are the best
we could ever have had

Goodbye
Dad…

Dedicated to Arnie from your Granddaughter

Genevieve Koekemoer  - A Poem to share   |41.243.242.xxx |2009-01-15
You’re Gone!!

I sit here day in day out,

Wondering could I have done better,

Could
I have done it right?

What would of happened if I was not too busy
with other things to see,

That my time with you was nearly up,

If I
could have seen that our time was nearly up,

I would have
spent every second I could with you,

If I only realized my time
with you was nearly up.

But now I sit and wonder was there anything I
could have done,

To make that last bit of time with you last
longer.

But now it is too late my time is up,

The door on that side
of my life is locked,

It is shut,

I reach for the door to turn
the key,

But it is gone.

WHERE IS IT!!??

Only you know where it
is,

And you can’t tell me because you’re gone!

"I wrote your name in the sand, but the waves washed it away. I wrote your name in the sky, but the wind blew it away. So I wrote your name in my heart, and that's where it will stay, always"
