I have been in this business since 1973.  I'm a digital stills photographer and video producer and deliver still and moving images as digital files for both high resolution stills prints, DVD video & lower resolution files for Internet use.

Digital Photographic Course for 14,15 and 28,29 March  2009. (More dates to follow during the year)

This is a fun weekend course.

1.  Saturday morning 08h00 to 12h00 - Theory of photography and camera settings.

2.  Saturday afternoon 13h00 to 17h00 – Practical session to capture four different types of imagery.

3.  Sunday evening 17h00 to 21h00 – transfer camera images to computer for adjudication and demonstrate basic image enhancements on computer.

I will supply the open source image manipulation programme, GIMP, with a manual for free.  Each student needs to have their own digital camera with the capability of switching to manual settings, the cable needed to transfer images to computer and, if possible, a tripod.  The tripod is not essential as I have a couple of my own which students may borrow for the practical session. If you have a laptop bring that and if not bring at least a memory stick for me to give you GIMP and its manual. 

Venue:  Saturday and Sunday – Upstairs at Scrooges restaurant, Brightwater Common, Randburg (Off Republic road just East of Malibongwe Road). You pay for your own refreshments and meals from Scrooges.
